Microsoft gearing up for its “biggest E3 showing ever”

While CES is the big yearly event for tech with Mobile World Congress following for mobile devices and technology, E3 is the most anticipated show of the year for gamers. This year, Microsoft is getting ready for what it’s calling their “biggest E3 showing ever.”

Xbox first appeared at E3 in 2000 and 18 years later, Xbox will be taking over the entirety of the Microsoft Theater — located across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center — for the duration of the show. Events that will be taking place at the Microsoft Theater will include Xbox FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay, and of course the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing which takes place on June 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET.

These changes – expanding our presence, multiple venues, taking over the Microsoft Theater – give us the opportunity to bring together a variety of Xbox experiences into one primary location and, most importantly, let fans in on what we’re up to in 2018 and beyond in a fresh new way.

Xbox will also have a booth in the LACC dedicated to Mixer, the streaming service Microsoft purchased two years ago as Beam and rebranded as Mixer last year. At the Mixer booth, attendees will be able to play, stream, and interact with games during the show.

Microsoft will be announcing more about their Xbox presence at E3 2018 at some point in April.
