Deadpool 2 trailer drops with all of the hilarity, profanity, you’d expect

The day you probably didn’t even know you’d been waiting for has arrived! The official trailer for the currently untitled Deadpool sequel (which may just be named Deadpool 2, because why the heck not?) has been graciously delivered for our eyeballs to enjoy. First a word of warning since this is a family site, this isn’t a trailer for the kids, there’s violence, there’s adult situations, and a couple of bad words. You’ve been warned, so check out the trailer below!

The YouTube description offers an important look into the story of the new movie:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

OK, not really, but I think we can all agree that it’s fantastic news that Dopinder is making a triumphant return here. It seems Deadpool is still set on putting the poor cabbie into unpleasant situations. Wade Wilson also made the heroic decision to rid the world of gluten (or maybe that was just an excuse for being late, maybe we’ll never know).

We see a bit of story here, with Cable showing up for a young mutant, currently only known as “that kid.” Deadpool is convinced by Vanessa (the returning Morena Baccarin) that he should protect the child. Agreeing, Deadpool decides he can’t do it on his own, and enlists some help. His requirements are really pretty obvious based on who is looking:

Tough, morally flexible, and young enough to carry their own franchise for 10-12 years.

Rounding up the team, Deadpool seems to rather jokingly decide that they’ll be called “X-Force” which Domino (Zazie Beetz) immediately calls out for being derivative. Deadpool may have just unofficially created the team for the upcoming X-Force movie, or at least created a joke that points directly at the upcoming X-Force movie, we’ll have to wait and see.

Really, you’ve seen all of this fantastic footage for yourself, and should really probably just watch the trailer a few more times for good measure because it’s pretty great. Deadpool 2 (or whatever it’ll ultimately be called) will be in theaters on May 18th.
