When one thinks of Seth Rogan, they most likely think of his comedy movies often with partner-in-crime James Franco. It turns out that Rogan has a cause that seems to be pretty near and dear to him. Seth and wife Lauren Miller Rogan’s sixth annual Hilarity for Charity was filmed last night in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium and will air for the first time ever on Netflix. The annual event “is a nonprofit movement, led by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen, dedicated to raising awareness, inspiring change, and accelerating progress in Alzheimer’s care, research, and support through the engagement of millennials.”

Plenty of comedians and acts graced this stage including Tiffany Haddish, Sarah Silverman, Michelle Wolf, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Michael J. Fox, David Chang, Ike Barinholtz, Chelsea Peretti, The Muppets, Kumail Nanjiani, Jon Lovitz, Jeff Goldblum, Sacha Baron Cohen, Nick Kroll, Post Malone, Chris Hardwick, and Craig Robinson & The Nasty Delicious. Some of the performers also took to Twitter to offer up a behind the scenes look at the event itself  — including the age-old question: “is a hot dog a sandwich?”

The Hilarity for Charity website offers up plenty of resources for those wanting to more about Alzheimer’s Disease, specific programs the charity offers up including variety shows, grant programs, and even a Google Hangouts support group for people under 40 dealing with Alzheimer’s. By donating through the site, supporters are supporting a number of initiatives including the aforementioned support for those under 40 dealing with the disease, as well as continued research focused on early onset and detection, as well as in-home care grants.

Hilarity for Charity and the Home Instead Senior Care network are working together to award in–home care grants throughout the United States and Canada to those providing care to their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias through our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Relief Grant Program.

Seth Rogan’s Hilarity for Charity will air on Netflix on April 6th.
