DIY home security solutions are becoming more and more popular and range from video doorbells to indoor/outdoor camera options. Hanwha Techwin (previously Samsung Techwin) has just released a 5 Megapixel Super HD Video Security System comprising of 4, 8, and 10 camera kit solutions. With a 1944p HD resolution, this Wisenet security system offers 2 1/2 times clearer resolution than standard 1080p security systems.

The all-in-one security systems provide 5 megapixel, 1944p recording for smooth playback and clear imaging, while high-quality resolution enables better forensic inspection of a person’s face or license plate. With Motion Zone Selection and Event Detection, users can select desired areas to detect motion and avoid false alarms that may trigger the system. Users also receive alerts when there is motion, tampering or video loss detected.  Privacy zone settings also allow you to exclude up to four areas that are not significant to your security or safety and masks them from the camera’s view.

Aimed at home users looking for an easy to set up, out of the box solution with DVR recording and optional cloud storage, the cameras have an IP66 rating and are weather resistant for indoor and outdoor use. Featuring Hanwha Techwin’s g True Day & Night with IR Cut Filter, the security cameras have accurate daytime colours and allow users to see up to 82 ft in total darkness and up to 130 ft under ambient lighting.
