Smartphones have nearly become a necessity in our daily lives. Not only do they facilitate phone communication but they also facilitate day to day chores such as paying bills, connecting with friends and family, and even hunting for jobs. That’s why inexpensive phones are becoming so popular and have a place in the market. Now, T-Mobile is offering up two new inexpensive phones giving users even more choice.
The Motorola E5 Play and Motorola E5 will now be available on T-Mobile for those seeking a budget-friendly device. Motorola and T-Mobile are partnering in this venture, interesting as it has been awhile since they’ve worked together. It’s great to see these two jumping back in the saddle again.
The specs on these devices are obviously not flagship specs but they’re decent enough for what they are. Check them out below.

- 5.2″ 1280×720 display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 SoC
- 16GB internal storage (expandable with Micro SD)

Moto E5 Plus

- Snapdragon 435 SoC
- 32GB internal (expandable with Micro SD)

Pricing and lease options are as follows. The Motorola E5 Play will be $6USD down and $6USD per month for 24 months, or $0USD down and $7USD per month if you get the device on Jump On Demand (JOD). If you would like to purchase the phone outright, the full retail price is $150USD. If your more interestlays with the Moto E5 Plus, you’ll have a down payment of $9USD while paying $9USD per month for 24 months or $225USD at full retail. The E5 Plus will not be offered on JOD.
While these devices aren’t expensive, T-Mobile does understand that not everyone’s banks are the same. So it’s nice they offer the monthly payment options.
