Xbox One keyboard and mouse support coming soon

One of the Xbox One’s most requested features is finally becoming a reality: Xbox One keyboard and mouse support.

First announced during yesterday’s episode of Xbox Insider, the news was followed up with a blog post by Jason Ronald, Director of Program Management for Xbox Platform. Before you get to excited though, Xbox One keyboard and mouse support will be up to each developer to implement if they so choose and will be supported on a game by game basis.

“Mouse and keyboard input is not enabled by default for games,” writes Ronald. “Each development team knows their titles best and we support them in creating the right experience for their games as they see fit, to ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience.”

Support will be rolling out to Xbox Insiders in the coming weeks and the first title to support keyboard and mouse on the Xbox One will be Warframe. Most wired or wireless USB keyboards and mice will work, but
Xbox is partnering  with Razer “to bring you the best possible mouse and keyboard experience for this new functionality.”

Are you looking forward to keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox One? What games are you hoping offer up that support? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
