Samsung’s San Francisco event is coming up in a few weeks. The event is where we’re expecting to see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+. But a new leaked promo video is suggesting we may also see the official release of the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is the company’s first foldable phone. This year is shaping up to be the year of the foldable phone with many others on the horizon. The Samsung Galaxy Fold had a veiled introduction at Samsung’s developer conference and has been tightly under wraps. The video shows the Galaxy Fold in a few shots but we also get glimpses of the Samsung Galaxy S10. Check it out below.

The device in the video certainly looks nicer than the one we saw at the developer conference. Of course, the one at that event was probably in an enclosure to hide its true design. Samsung also turned the lights down so the press couldn’t get a clear shot of the device.

Microsoft is rumored to be making a foldable phone, as is Motorola. And there are others who already have a working device so it will be interesting how the saga of the foldable phone…unfolds in 2019.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is expected to cost US$1,700 and is rumored to have a 7.3″ folding internal display at 1536 x 2152 resolution. The display used while the device is closed is rumored to be 4.58″ at 840 x 1960 resolution.

If Samsung is indeed planning to introduce the Fold at their February event, expect it to be the buzz in the tech news world.
