The Samsung Experience is what the company has renamed their Android launcher experience and now it is extending into retail. The company has been dabbling in retail outlets for a few years now. They’ve been setting up shop in select Best Buy stores and they have a larger location in New York City called Samsung 837.
Samsung 837 is more of a venue to showcase the company’s latest innovations and offerings. They don’t actually sell product or service product at that location. The Samsung Experience retail location will be different. Designed to be more of an actual retail store, not unlike Apple’s stores, where you can purchase devices as well as get service for them.
The company is getting ready to unveil their Galaxy S10 series of phones, which marks the 10th year of Galaxy. The big event is set for February 20th in San Francisco and these new Samsung Experience locations will open the same day that announcement is made.
Samsung has chosen The Americana at Brand in Glendale, California; Roosevelt Field on Long Island in Garden City, New York; and The Galleria in Houston, Texas for their new stores.
Not only will you be able to purchase Samsung devices in these stores but the company will offer other attractions for users. They will have a 4D VR experience and even a 4K gaming lounge. The 4K gaming lounge is without a doubt designed to show off the company’s 4K QLED TVs which are excellent for gaming.
The company is also planning a Samsung Experience pop-up tour in March. No details on the tour have been released but expect more on that as soon as the new Galaxy phones are announced.
