You may or may not like Jimmy Fallon as a comedian but there’s no question he has one of the most popular late-night shows out there. Usually, the production crew of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon relies on expensive camera gear to capture the show. But, according to the show’s producers, tonight’s entire show was shot on Samsung Galaxy S10+.
There is no question that Samsung makes an amazing consumer smartphone camera but now they want to show its capability on TV. No granular details have been revealed about the use of the Galaxy S10+ for the show, other than the entire show was shot on the device. I would expect that the editing crew will make color corrections and work other editing magic in
Be sure to tune in on Monday March 25th for an entire show captured #withGalaxy S10+ in partnership with @SamsungMobileUS! Jimmy’s filming all over the city and might just go to a bar with @TheNotoriousMMA 😉

Given that Apple is making some announcements today, presumably a new Apple TV and Apple streaming service, this is a timely marketing piece from Samsung. While Apple will certainly garner a lot of press throughout the day, Samsung will still get its share in the mix.
At any rate, it should be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy S10+ performs and handles a full TV production. I am more curious to find out exactly how they used the devices and what was done to the footage in post. Hopefully we find out!
