BenQ expands 4K UHD HDR home cinema lineup with new midrange projector

|

There’s no question that 4K UHD HDR home cinema projectors are not only gaining popularity, but are also becoming more affordable. BenQ is expanding its True 4K UHD HDR home cinema lineup with a new midrange projector: the BenQ CinePrime HT5550.

Combining BenQ’s HDR-PRO and CinematicColor DCI-P3 technologies, the CinePrime HT5550 is perfect for dedicated home theaters and living rooms. The new projector in BenQ’s lineup not only supports HDR10 but also has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut standard.

“For film buffs, it’s all in the details. However, achieving true cinematic quality has been expensive and technologically out of reach for all but the best home theaters. The CinePrime HT5550 sets a new benchmark with BenQ’s color accuracy and HDR capabilities to create a movie experience that’s truly gratifying for movie enthusiasts of all levels.”

Bob Wudeck, senior director, business, education and CinePro solutions at BenQ America Corp

Delivering true 4K performance with 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame, the HT5550 uses a 4K-optimized optical system with six structured groups of all-glass lens elements for brilliant light transmission and ultimate image quality.
