So we ran across an interesting job posting over on HighSpeedInternet and we thought we would share that with our Fortnite playing readers. HighSpeedInternet is looking for ONE person to play 50-hours of Fortnite this summer. For simply playing the game for 50-hours, that person will earn US$1,000 and free internet.

But it doesn’t stop there. The company says it will also give the chosen player a new modem/router with that “blazing fast” free internet for one year. This job opening is open to all, you do not have to be a “professional” gamer to apply and the application period is open until May 31st. After that, HighSpeedInternet will choose the person and make the announcement.

Here’s the basic rundown of what you need to know. Be sure to click the link below and read ALL of the terms and conditions HighSpeedInternet has placed on this contest.

Fortnite

What you’ll play

Fortnite is the game of choice for this gaming dream job. We chose this first-person shooter game because an awesome internet connection with a low ping rate will give you an advantage.

What you’ll do

If selected, your mission will be to play Fortnite for 50 hours. This isn’t a marathon—you can rack up your battle hours anytime between June 7 and July 31, 2019.  In addition to killing off those annoying bush campers, you’ll also want to test your skills with your new internet speeds. After you complete your mission, you’ll hit us up with the story of how high-speed internet boosted your play, check your new speed here.

What you’ll get

In return for your 50 hours of gaming action, your loot will include a check for $1,000. And you’ll also enjoy one free year of high-speed internet service on us. The total compensation package (which also includes the modem/router combo recommended for your area and a gaming router) is valued at almost $3,000. (Time for a floss dance.)

Who we’ll hire

You do need to be over the age of 18, but you don’t need to be a professional gamer to apply. In fact, we’ll even hire people who aren’t professional gamers.

Game on!

If a summer Fortnite mission sounds like your kind of side hustle, apply before the May 31, 2019, deadline. If you’re hired, you’ll get paid to livestream your Fortnite extravaganza and tell us how faster internet gave you an edge in your gaming.
