Growing up my brothers and I all collected comics. We hung out in comic shops and we bought what we could with what little money we could earn. Eventually, we all grew up, got married, and had kids and comic book collecting was curbed. But DC’s Watchmen graphic novel was one book that I distinctly remember reading and absolutely loving.
I didn’t collect many DC titles, mostly Batman, some Superman, and oddballs like Watchmen were what I preferred from DC. Fast forward to this golden age of comic book movies and Warner Bros. gave us the Watchmen movie, which was amazing! Zack Snyder really captured the essence of the graphic novel and I really enjoyed it. Given that DC’s comic book movies are a bit behind Marvel’s, Snyder’s film stands out.
Now, HBO is picking up the mantel and making a series out of the graphic novel. Now, I have to admit, I’ve only ever read the original graphic novel series but I do believe there were other series released later. I’m not sure where HBO is going with the series but the teaser trailer below is simply fantastic and I can’t wait to check this series out!

I’m also very stoked to see Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, and Louis Gosset Jr. in this series. Mostly because these are all actors from my era of TV and movies and it’s great to see them back on the small screen.
