Misfit Vapor X smartwatch utilizes Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset

Most Wear OS watches to this day still haven’t been solid competitors to Apple’s Apple Watch or Samsung’s Galaxy Watch lineup. Sure, there are some great smartwatches out there that do well on their own such as Fossil’s smartwatches. A company called Misfit has come out with another smartwatch running Wear OS but will also utilize the newer Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset: the Misfit Vapor X. This chipset has been around for a while and offers much better battery life than other Snapdragon Wear chipsets but hasn’t been overly utilzed.

Other than the smartwatch shipping with the Wear 3100 chip inside, it will also feature an Accelerometer, Altimeter, Gyroscope, and a heart rate sensor. Wear OS is the operating system of choice and the Misfit Vapor X will be able compatible with Android phones running Android 4.4 and above or iPhones on iOS 10 and above.

Other specifications include 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. It’s not the greatest amount of RAM, but the price could be a reason why there’s only 512MB. As for battery life, it’ll get you up to 24 hours plus 2 additional days in battery saving mode thanks to the 330 mAh battery. On top of that, the watch will charge up to 80% in 50 minutes.

The watch also boasts standalone GPS and is water-resistant up to 30M and has been tested in a 10K stroke swim test. The cool thing about this watch is that Spotify comes pre-installed for users that use that music streaming platform. The integration gives you the ability to listen to your music while on the go without having to be connected to your smartphone.

The watch will come in five different color options as well. Those are Black with a black Sport Strap+, Rose Tone with a Rose Beige Sport Strap+, Stainless with a Navy Sport Strap+, Champagne with a Lavender Sport Strap+, and Gunmetal with a Green Sport Strap+.

The full retail price of the Misfit Vapor X is US$279.99 but is currently on sale for $199.99 at the time of this article.
