Five countries for outsourcing software development projects

Usually, when companies and individuals are planning to outsource software development projects, they look internationally to get access to a greater range of talent and experience. Here are a few of the top countries to outsource software development work to, and why:

China

It is probably not surprising that China is on this list, as they are so well known for the technology-related services that they provide. In addition, China also is one of the faster-growing economies when it comes to startups and technology-based companies. Because of the conversation rate, the US dollar is worth much more there and can go much further away than it can here.

India

India is one of the best countries for outsourcing. However, as all places do, it has its positives and negatives when it comes to outsourcing software development projects. The positives are that software developers in India charge a relatively low rate in US dollars because it goes a much further way there. The downside, however, is that it is difficult to determine the quality of service that you may receive in advance. Many organizations report that they needed to have the project done twice because the quality the first time was sub-par, but it still saved them money. Outsourcing to India is a good option if your time constraints aren’t as limiting, and you’re looking to save money.

Canada

Canada is convenient for clients in the United States because the time zones are around the same and, if it is necessary to meet up in person, it is not that big of an issue. It is also a perk that almost everyone in Canada speaks English, so it is less likely that there will be cultural barriers.

They have slightly lower prices at this point than the United States because of the currency exchange rate, but their prices are far higher compared to countries like India or China. They are also known for having a high quality of talented developers.

Philippines

The Philippines are quickly rising up as one of the biggest outsourcing countries and is primarily lead by Manila, one of its largest cities. Manila is known for its high density of technology-based startup, and its esteemed technology education programs. A massive perk of outsourcing with the Philippines is that it has a lot of young software designers, so they charge less than more experienced workers but still are talented and efficient.

Indonesia

Indonesia has one of the biggest economies within Southeast Asia and has one of the largest workforces in the world. It has an environment that is great for startups and young entrepreneurs who work in IT and software design. Its software development sources and IT talents are unfortunately relatively limited, but they are easy to locate because of the high rate of startups popping up in the country. Many people from other surrounding countries also move into Indonesia to participate in the atmosphere that so effectively fosters technology-based startups and entrepreneurs.

These are just a few examples and short reasons for outsourcing your business software development to other countries. Do you outsource to other countries? If so where do you outsource to? Let us know in the comments below.
