[UPDATED] Samsung Galaxy Fold now available in Canada

The Samsung Galaxy Fold has been out for a while in select countries. Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Fold will be available in Canada starting December 6, 2019.

UPDATED (12/6/2019): The Samsung Galaxy Fold is now available for purchase in Canada at Samsung Experience stores across the country. Due to demand, Samsung Canada is also making the device available at the Samsung Canada Service Centre located at 5395 Rue des Jockeys in Montréal. As mentioned below, the device has an MSRP of CA$2,2599.99 and includes Fold Concierge and a screen replacement offer.

The Galaxy Fold had a rocky start and was initially recalled from reviewers for further durability enhancements. Since the re-launch, the device has fared better for the most part. With its Canadian launch, the latest device from Samsung is the first foldable smartphone available in Canada.

With a large 7.3-inch screen when opened, the Galaxy Fold offers users a larger screen for multitasking, video watching, playing games and more. Other key features of the device include:

  • When opened, explore new ways to multitask, watch videos, play games, and more on an immersive 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display – the largest-ever screen on a Samsung Galaxy phone

The device will be available for purchase in limited quantities exclusively at Samsung Experience Stores across Canada. Those interested in picking one up can pre-order it starting tomorrow. The device will retail starting at CA$2,599.99 and will only be available in the Cosmos Black colourway. The Samsung Experience Store locations in Canada include:
