Stephen Hawking Reddit AMA Kicks Off On Monday

You might have heard through Internet buzz that a Stephen Hawking Reddit AMA will kick off on Monday for an entire week worth of questions. If you’re not familiar with a Reddit AMA it’s where anyone can setup a Q&A to the entire Reddit community and they answer. Usually these events are pretty open which attracts a variety of people and a variety of questions and that’s why they’re popular. Generally an AMA lasts for about an hour but since Dr. Hawkings is who he is, he wants as many questions as he can field and he’ll get them for a whole week.

If you don’t know who Dr. Hawkings is, he is one of the world’s most brilliant minds in the field of physics and even with ALS and at the age of 73 he continues to contribute to the scientific community. Word is Dr. Hawkings wants to concentrate the AMA on artificial intelligence but the tone of questions is usually determined by the people asking. While he has some control over things the whole idea behind the Reddit AMA is for people to openly ask the person anything they want.

We’d love to ask him about his recent project and the reward offered for finding proof of alien life. Overall though, this AMA should produce some good questions and hopefully some even better answers from Dr. Hawking. You can catch the Reddit AMA here.
