One of the most talked about features of Android Marshmallow is Google’s new Now on Tap feature. This new feature allows Google to basically search within the app that you’re using and give you relevant information pertaining to whatever subject may be in that app. An example could be a text message asking if Giordano’s Pizza in Chicago is any good. If you hold down the home button in the messaging app Google will search and give you results from Yelp or Google Reviews. It’s a pretty slick feature and one that Microsoft has just launched into their own Bing Android app called, Bing Snapshots. Now we’re certain that Bing Snapshots and Now on Tap are going to differ in some ways but the premise is the same, take a look at the two videos below.

We all know that Google is the most widely used search engine on the planet but Microsoft isn’t giving up very easily. They’ve been doing a lot to improve Bing and their search results as well as provide new services such as Bing Snapshot. They’ve certainly got a huge margin to close if they ever want to catch Google in search and it’s good to see they haven’t given up. Having only one of something is never good for consumers, having just Google would almost certainly be a bad thing.
Have you tried Bing Snapshots yet? What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
