[CES 2016] Acer’s New Chromebox For Meetings Refines Videoconferencing

In addition to its two new Chrome OS devices, Acer has also announced the new Chromebox for Meeting which provides a total solution for videoconferencing including hardware, software, and support all in one box. With a fast boot time in around eight seconds, Chromebox for Meetings supports up to 15 conference participants. Not only is it easy to setup and manage, but 24/7 technical support is also included.

The Acer Chromebox for Meetings CXV2 is powered by an Intel® Core™ i7 processor and Intel® HD Graphics with Ultra HD video output. Other features include a high-quality Full HD 1080p camera with a Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus and automatic low-light correction, remote control, and microphone/speaker. The wireless remote control features a full QWERTY keyboard, and the speaker and omni-directional microphone supports wideband frequency response, and built in digital signal processor for speech clarity, and features mute, end call, and volume buttons.

In order to ensure the latest software and security features are installed, the Chromebox for Meetings automatically updates itself every six weeks, and data stored on it is encrypted and protected by the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 chip.
