It’s that time again to find out what’s New on Netflix Canada for March! It’s sure to be a binge-worthy month as both House of Cards and Marvel’s Daredevil return with all new seasons, not to mention a few other Netflix Originals. Let’s check out what Netflix Canada has in store for viewers next month, and don’t forget to check back soon to see what’s New on Netflix US!

Netflix Originals

Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are back as Washington’s power couple, Frank and Claire Underwood, in the fourth season of House of Cards. If you’ve missed out on the first three seasons, Spacey stars as a ruthless politician who will stop at nothing to conquer Washington, D.C., in this Emmy and Golden Globe-winning political drama. Watch as Frank and Claire continue their pursuit for power, battling everyone in their way, including each other on March 4th.

Cuckoo, a Netflix Original starring Andy Samberg, Greg Davies, and Helen Baxendale, is about a woman who shocks her proper British parents when she marries an American hippie — but it’s just the first in a series of surprises for the family. Seasons 1 and 2 of Cuckoo drop on March 7th. Another comedic Netflix Original, Flaked, has Will Arnett starring as Chip, who does his honest best to stay one step ahead of the lies that prop up his image and his sobriety in Venice, California. Flaked season 1 airs on March 11th.

Also airing on March 11th is Netflix Presents: The Characters in which Netflix asked eight up-and-coming comedians for the wildest sketch and improve routines – and got a new comedy series unlike anything else.  Season 2 of the hit BBC drama series, Happy Valley continues streaming exclusively on Netflix in the US and Canada. This critically lauded, masterfully crafted, and brilliantly acted British series is already recognized as one of the top dramas of 2014. Be sure to catch up on the six-episode first season which  follows the personal and professional life of hard-working, dedicated police officer Catherine Cawood in a small town where drunkards, drug addicts and teenage pregnancies are a way of life. Her world is turned upside down when the man she thinks is responsible for her daughter’s death is released from prison. Happy Valley season 2 streams starting March 16.

March 18th is a big day for Netflix Originals, including the Jimmy Carr: Funny Business and Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday comedies. On a more serious note, My Beautiful Broken Brain is a documentary  about a woman who documents her struggles, setbacks and eventual breakthrough as she relearns to speak, read and write after suffering a stroke at age 24.

After the success of Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones, viewers get to dive back into Hell’s Kitchen as The Punisher and Elektra join the cast in Marvel’s Daredevil season 2. Just when Matt Murdock thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios. Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero. Daredevil season 2 also drops on March 18th.

And finally, season 10 of Trailer Park Boys hits Netflix on March 28th. The show continues to follow the booze-fueled misadventures of Ricky, Bubbles, and Julian — three longtime pals and petty serial criminals who run scams from their Nova Scotia trailer park. There’s definitely no shortage of Netflix Originals to binge on this month!

Netflix Original Series For Kids

Not to forget the kids, two new Netflix Original Series for Kids and four returning shows hit the streaming service this month. First up are the debut seasons of LEGO Friends: The Power of Friendship and LEGO Bionicle: The Journey to One on March 4th. In LEGO Friends, five best friends face adventures side by side in their hometown. Zany antics, love and missteps are better with friends! LEGO Bionicle on the other hand, follows six legendary heroes as they find themselves on an epic quest as they harness the power of nature’s elements to defeat the forces of evil.

Returning kids shows include second seasons of Dinotrux on March 4th, Popples on March 11th, The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show on March 18th, and season 3 of Veggietales In The House on March 25th. As with the Netflix Originals for the adults, there will be no shortage of new original content for kids on Netflix Canada in March.
