We’re expecting Google to announce their two new smartphones in a couple of weeks, and we’re now getting our best look at them yet. Pixel and Pixel XL photos have leaked ahead of the anticipated October 4th announcement.
The two devices, the smaller 5″ Pixel and the larger 5.5″ Pixel XL, are reportedly being developed by HTC for Google, and rumor also has it that Google is dropping the Nexus name on their newest phones. The images appeared on Android Police, and feature front and back images with identifying marks blurred out. Both devices look very similar, with an aluminum shell, and a fingerprint scanner on the back with the camera and LED flash in the upper left corners of the devices. According to Android Police, the top area on the back of the phones is shinier as it is constructed with a glass back on the upper portion of the devices.
The front of the devices shows off a somewhat larger bezel, with a front facing speaker on the top as well as the expected front facing camera. The larger of the two phones is shown with the lockscreen up, while the smaller of the two is in the middle of booting up with what’s presumably the new boot animation.
