Overwatch is one of the biggest games today that’s being played across multiple consoles. I even bought it for PC because I wanted to give it a try and I’m hooked. That’s what you get from watching people play it and playing it for so long. It’s great game hands down. Tournaments are even a thing for Overwatch, and Blizzard has recently announced an entry-level eSports league for aspiring professional gamers.

Overwatch is now having an Open Division for those across select areas to try and beat the competition around the world. If you’re ranked Master or above, you and your team will be able to join in on the fun in an entry-level program for those who would like to become professionals. There are a few simple rules to follow if you’ve reached Master rank.

  1. Gather a team and sign up before June 21st. You will need to be Master rank in season 4 in order to sign up.
  2. Compete online every week from July 3rd to August 26th.
  3. Prove your skills in the Heroic Final Eight from August 21st to August 27th.
  4. Receive your prizes in September.

If you’re wondering how to reach Master rank, you’ll first need to start out by playing some unranked games in Quick Play. From there once you reach level 25, you can then start your Competitive Play to hone more of your skill ratings and experience that you already have and try to reach the top rank. Lastly, once you’ve reached a skill rating of 3500+ you can then have Master rank to join the Overwatch Open Division.

I’m definitely not at Master rank or will I be anytime soon, but if you’ve already hit the ranks, why not give the Open Division a try? It looks like a lot of fun. What are your thoughts? Let us know by leaving your comments down below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
