Graphic designer and Android developer Samer Zayer has created a unique new look for those of you who love to skin your Android device. “Paper” is the title of this icon pack and each icon is, as you’d expect, designed like paper.

Support for Nova Launcher, ADW Launcher, Go Launcher, Apex Launcher, Action Launcher, Smart Launcher, Aviate, and still others mean that these icons are available to nearly everyone using a replacement. The icons are extremely high resolution, so they look fantastic on every screen. Zayer’s app requires no special permissions and has hundreds of app icons supported right out of the gate.

It brought me back to my younger years, when I played the iconic game Paper Mario on my Nintendo 64. Some of the most interesting designs featured in and/or created by technology of time period involve the ancient medium of paper, and this icon pack’s developer has created truly unique icons. Zayer revitalizes a small bit of nostalgia in me by transporting me to a paper playland. In most cases, the images of each app featured on the icons has been reworked to truly fit the style of the paper theme. The attention to detail is stunning, and each icon feels specially-made for each app as opposed to something just thrown together. There’s even a group of icons made specifically for the app drawer button – that was a pleasant surprise.

The app allows the user to view all of the icons available in the icon set, grouped into different categories like Google, Games, etc. A handful of paper-themed wallpapers are available as well, to help keep the theme consistent across your device. There’s even a section that allows you to request icons. I’ve learned from using other icon packs that the designers are always happy to hear requests for apps that are missing icons.

Samer Zayer has done a fantastic job on these icons, and with nearly a thousand additional icons coming to this pack soon, it’s easily a five-star icon pack. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Zayer brings to the pack and what he designs in the future.

You can purchase Paper Icon Pack for a mere $1.49 USD on the Google Play Store.

Don’t forget to leave him a review if you enjoy his work on Paper Icon Pack!
