Details about the next James Bond film were revealed during a 10-minute live stream event early this morning as it sheds its Bond24 moniker and gave us a first look into British secret agent’s next big adventure. Officially titled Spectre, the 24th film in the James Bond franchise will feature Daniel Craig once again taking the helm as Bond himself for the fourth time, as well as Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinnear returning for their previous roles. Newcomers to the franchise will include Christoph Waltz, Dave Bautista, Monica Belluci, and Lea Seydoux.
Details about the actual plot of Spectre are being kept under wraps, and outside of some names, we really don’t know much yet outside of what has already been rumored and reported on in the past. Christoph Waltz, whose character’s name was revealed to be Oberhauser, will likely be the main villain, or one who betrays Bond in the film and Mr. Hinx, played by Dave Bautista, is likely to be a henchman type similar to Oddjob or other famous minor Bond villains in the past. The other new cast members, Monica Belluci and Lea Seydoux, will be playing Spectre’s Bond girls Lucia Sciarra and Madeleine Swann, respectively.
You can’t have a new Bond film without a sweet new car to go along with it, which brings about the other major reveal of the live stream, the Ashton Martin DB10. Continuing a “50 year relationship with Ashton Martin,” the DB10 was designed specifically for Spectre, and while its functions in the film weren’t revealed, the car is absolutely gorgeous.
Shooting locations for Spectre will include London, Rome, Mesxico City, Morrocco, and the return of Bond to the snowy Alps in Austria. Primary photography is set to being on December 8th, and eager Bond fans will get to watch it in theaters November 6th, 2015.
