Netflix has been on the tear lately with House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black and Daredevil hitting big with fans. Netflix’s Sense8, the newest series from the network killer, sure looks to be on track to keep up that pace. The premise is actually pretty cool and is something I have never seen in television before. Eight different people are linked together by some force which puts their lives at risk. Check out the trailer below.
One moment links 8 minds in disparate parts of the world, putting 8 strangers in each other’s lives, each other’s secrets, and in terrible danger. All 12 episodes of the global dramatic thriller will launch Friday, June 5 only on Netflix. From the unparalleled creative minds of The Wachowskis (“The Matrix” trilogy, “Cloud Atlas”) and J. Michael Straczynski (Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling,” ”World War Z“), as well as Grant Hill (“The Matrix” trilogy, “Cloud Atlas“). The international cast includes: Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen and Max Riemelt. Also, Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista and Joe Pantoliano. Unlike anything seen on television before, Sense8 pushes the boundaries in style, scope and story.
Sense8 has my interest piqued and I’ll be checking it out come June for sure. If Netflix keeps pushing out some quality content like this the TV networks just might have to find a plan B. What do you guys think of Netflix’s Sense8? Does it have the potential to be the next big Netflix hit? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
