World’s 1st Panoramic 4K Video Camera Receives Innovation Award

|

Altia Systems’ PanaCast 2 panoramic 4K real-time video camera has received the 2016 New Product Innovation Award for Video Conferencing Cameras by Frost & Sullivan, an industry research firm. The real-time video camera was awarded based on its ability to address customer requirements with its innovative design, performance, and exceptional value for the price.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan for our PanaCast 2 camera,” said Aurangzeb Khan, President & CEO of Altia Systems. “More than 250 companies in 27 countries are now using PanaCast 2 with their favorite collaboration software to improve business productivity every day.”

The PanaCast 2 delivers immersive video where other cameras don’t. With its 180 degree horizontal and 54 degree vertical field of views, the PanaCast 2 offers a more realistic view of smaller conference rooms and gives a similar experience as if someone was sitting at the conference table. Video is streamed via USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 to a PC or Mac, and its plug-and-play connectivity allows it to work right out of the box. The camera works with popular apps including Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business, Skype, Cisco WebEx, Citrix Go To Meeting, Google Hangouts, and Vidyo to name a few.

Frost & Sullivan notes, “At a list price of $995, PanaCast 2 is a tremendous value compared to alternative HD cameras on the market.” It goes on to say, “compared to competing contemporary USB, Cat5 (Ethernet) or HDMI connected cameras designed for business-grade video conferencing, PanaCast 2’s features easily outclass less expensive models and is as much as half the cost of cameras with competitive components and functionality support. Clearly Altia Systems recognizes that customers should not need to compromise functionality or quality for a fair price.”
