Narcos Season 2 Gets Premiere Date

Narcos was by far one of the best new Netflix original series of last year and it is returning September 2nd with 10 new episodes. Narcos chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the infamous drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. Its gritty storytelling details the many, often-conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.

The series stars Wagner Moura (Elite Squad, Elysium) as Pablo Escobar alongside Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña. José Padilha (Elite Squad, RoboCop) and Eric Newman (Children of Men) serve as executive producers of the series. Narcos is produced by Gaumont International Television for Netflix .

Netflix original series are getting better every time and this one looks like it will deliver the second time around. I don’t often have time to watch a lot of television but Narcos was one series I made time for, that’s saying a lot for me. We’re looking forward to seeing what these next ten episodes will bring and hopefully Netflix will keep the same quality storytelling and filming that was very present in the first season.

What do you think of Narcos? Did you watch season 1? Are you stoked for season 2? Let us know your thoughts and comments below or give us and Netflix a shout out on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
