Perigon HD Digital Mirror Expands Your Field Of View

Vehicle safety has been an evolving thing since the birth of the automobile. When the first autos were rolling off assembly lines things like safety belts weren’t even conceived of. Even as recently as the mid 20th century children in car seats weren’t a normal thing. But we’ve learned a lot about vehicle safety and we continue to progress and innovate new methods of keeping ourselves from killing ourselves in them. Perigon is adding to the basket of safety with its HD digital mirror which can expand your rear view by using a camera and screen in place of your rear view mirror. Check out the video below and see what Perigon is working on.

The world currently has over a billion vehicles on the road – and with so many drivers out there, safety is more important than ever. The Perigon HD Digital Mirror is the first high definition display system designed to enhance driver visibility by an average of 3-4 times that of a traditional rear view mirror, while eliminating blind spots and other obstacles from view.

Good drivers aim to always be aware of their surroundings, and we offer you a system that greatly enhances your view to the rear and sides of your car, effectively giving you the same view out the rear of your vehicle as you have out the front- all installed with DIY simplicity. No alterations to your car or professional installation needed.

You can check out Perigon’s Kickstarter campaign at the link below to support the project or you can get more information on the technology behind the HD digital mirror. What do you think of this tech? Would it be something you would use? Are you backing the project? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
