No sooner did we review the Viper V760 RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and Patriot have announced new mechanical gaming keyboards and gaming mice. Where the V760 featured Kaihl Brown switches and full RGB lighting, the new Patriot Viper V770 RBG gaming keyboard features Kaihl Brown switches and the V730 LED gaming keyboard will use Kaihl Brown switches but only have single color lighting.

“We are committed to offering products for a wide range of gaming enthusiasts and our two new keyboards will appeal to players at both ends of the spectrum,” said Roger Shinmoto, Patriot’s Vice President of Product Development.

Viper V770 RGB Gaming Keyboard

As mentioned above, the Viper V770 improves on the Viper V760 with Kaihl Red switches. These switches offer a quieter sound and a more tactile feel, actuating at just 2mm with a force of 50g.

“Our new RGB V770 keyboard is a high-end, feature rich keyboard, designed with the serious gamer in mind. With thoughtful design, on board media controls, dedicated macros, and a high degree of customization, the V770 is a great compliment to any high end rig,” said Shinmoto.

The Viper V770 features N-Key rollover (NKRO), five dedicated macro keys, 108 programmable macro keys, five customizable profiles, full spectrum per-key RGB LEDs, a detachable magnetic wrist rest, and an LED strip which features the same full-spectrum RGB lighting in tandem with the glow of the keys. The Viper V770 also offers both audio and USB pass-through ports, located on opposite ends of the back side, dedicated multimedia keys, and a volume/mute scroll wheel to enable users to quickly access sound settings without interrupting their gaming experience.

The V770 will be available April 2017 for a starting MSRP of $149.99USD.

Viper V730 LED Gaming Keyboard

The Viper V730 will use the same Kaihl Brown switches as the Viper V760, but will lack the same RGB functionality. The V730 is targeted at newcomers to the mechanical keyboard experience and will be a metal body design plug-and-play keyboard with red LED lighting and detachable wrist rest, providing gamers with an entry level, reliable mechanical keyboard.

“The V730 is the perfect entry level keyboard for casual gaming use. The V730 ergonomic design, simple set up, and LED backlighting are a perfect mix of price to performance,” Shinmoto said.

The V730 will be equipped with NKRO, eight multimedia keys, five lighting profiles, six LED lighting modes, and six level backlit dimming modes to adjust brightness and the flow of color.

The Viper V570 includes an Avago 9800 laser sensor and up to 12000dpi that can quickly be adjusted with the press of a button. In addition, the Auto-Speed feature in the Viper V570 software enables the mouse to automatically modify the dpi, in a range set by the user, in accordance with the movement of the mouse. The V570 also features a quick access sniper button which allows the user to drop down to 400dpi, zero delay Omron switches, 13 programmable macro buttons, and five MMO-like programmable side buttons.

“The V570’s innovative FPS+MMO hybrid design and its rich feature set offer high performance, versatility, and customization for the most serious gamer,” Shinmoto said.

As the name implies, the V570 also comes equipped with full RGB multi-zone LEDs, allowing users to illuminate the V570 with 16.8 million colors. A favourite feature of the V560 gaming mouse, the V570 is designed with the same ceramic foot pads for ice-like gliding on any surface, and also includes 35g of adjustable weight and rubber side grips.

The V570 will be available at the end of the first quarter of 2017 for starting MSRP of $59.99USD.

The V530 features an Avago 3050 optical sensor and a maximum dpi setting of 4000, seven programmable macro buttons, six onboard LED profile colors, PTFE foot pads, and a soft rubber like coating.

“The V530’s aggressive lines and LED lighting options make it the perfect entry level choice for the casual gamer,” Shinmoto said.

The V530 will be available at the end of January for a starting MSRP of $29.99USD.
