If you thought Apple’s iPhone X prices were high…check out eBay’s

iPhone X prices are the highest price for a mainstream smartphone ever, we knew it was coming. We also knew that eBay sellers would most likely inflate iPhone X prices to try and make a quick buck. True to form, it didn’t take long for eBay sellers to start listing their pre-order’s for sale. Currently, the highest asking price for an iPhone X 256GB Space Grey version is $2,025USD. The listing already has six bids on it and originally started at $1,850USD. The next most expensive listing is $1,925USD and that listing has 43 bids and started at $500USD.

There are a few others listed for more but none that I saw had bids like the two examples above. Looking at eBay Canada, they also have a few listings that are higher than normal price but nothing as high as the US store (yet). Many people believe that iPhone X prices are already insane. The new tech debate is becoming whether or not smartphone prices are getting out of hand. While Apple is the first mainstream OEM to step over the $1,000USD mark, Samsung and Google aren’t far behind.

As we mentioned before, it’s not surprising to see these eBay prices, it generally happens for all hard to find electronics. The more interesting part of this conversation is that there are actually people who are willing to pay that much more for these electronics. It’s sort of baffling to my mind. I’m the first to admit, I’m not the most patient guy in the world, but I’d rather be patient than spend $800USD more than what something is worth.

What do you think of this story? Would you buy an iPhone X for more than the Apple sales price? Have you ever purchased something from eBay and paid more than the original price? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
