Lost in Space was a mid-60s television show that lived on in reruns when I was a kid in the late 70s and 80s. The series revolves around the Robinson family — a group of space explorers who get thrown off course and end up in a variety of different adventures. The formula for the TV show was pretty basic and it was the setting is what made it interesting. While the old Lost in Space TV show is admittedly dated, it’s still fun to look back and watch every now and then.

Fast forward to 2018 and Netflix is bringing Lost in Space back. Come April 13th we’ll have a new Robinson family ready to blast off on a new adventure.

The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Stranded light years from their destination, the Robinson family must come together to survive.

This certainly looks very interesting and I am excited to check this one out. Given that I enjoyed the original I have high hopes for what they’ll be able to do with new visual technology in hand. The cast for the series includes:

  • Toby Stephens as John Robinson
  • Molly Parker as Maureen Robinson
  • Ignacio Serricchio as Don West
  • Taylor Russell as Judy Robinson
  • Mina Sundwall as Penny Robinson
  • Maxwell Jenkins as Will Robinson
  • Parker Posey as Dr. Smith

You can catch the new series on Netflix on April 13th. I know I will be adding this to my watch list, we shall see in a couple months if it is binge-worthy.

What do you think of this new series from Netflix? Did you watch the original? Are you going to watch this? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+Twitter, or Facebook.
