The third expansion for Assassin’s Creed: Origins, “The Curse of the Pharaohs,” is releasing tomorrow and Ubisoft has dropped a launch trailer for the DLC (which you can check out above). As with any Assassin’s Creed content, the storyline is a key component and this one unleashes the undead on the streets of ancient Egypt.

“Curse of the Pharaohs,” the third major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, takes Bayek to find a mysterious artifact in Thebes, where he immediately runs into much more than he bargained for. Instead of the mortal and deceitful Order of the Ancients, he finds undead pharaohs materializing in the streets and slaughtering civilians. The Pharaoh’s Curse, as the locals call it, likely has something to do with all the grave robbers treating the Valley of the Kings like a strip mine for antiquities, forcing Bayek to hunt down key artifacts linked to each pharaoh in order to put them to rest.

The expansion takes place in a new territory which includes Thebes and the Valley of the Kings. Self-contained open worlds showcase the individual afterlives of the various undead pharaohs, which can be fast-traveled to once they are discovered. The pharaohs will also appear in the land of the living as a Shadow of the Pharaoh, and you, as Bayek, will have a limited time to track them down and dispatch them before confronting them in the afterlife.

In addition to increasing the level cap to 55, seven new abilities are also available to be unlocked. These include buffs to abilities like Dash Boost and Overpower Fury or new archery abilities like the option to infect Predator Bow kills with Flesh Decay, pierce shields with Hunter Bows, or even gradually refilling your tools and arrows while in the afterlife with Favor of Osiris. The new skills will require 15 ability points to fully unlock.

In the meantime, you can check out some of the gameplay ahead of tomorrow’s launch.

“The Curse of the Pharaohs” is available as part of the Season Pass on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC or for $19.99USD as a standalone purchase.
