After last month’s big Sea of Thieves addition to the Xbox Game Pass, it’s time to see what Microsoft has in store for us next! The Xbox Game Pass April update sees a total of eight games are being added, including the city builder Cities: Skyline and a brand new game on April 11th.

The games coming to Xbox Game Pass in April include:

  • Robocraft Infinity (April 11)
  • Cities: Skylines
  • theHunter: Call of the Wild
  • Kingdom: New Lands
  • Portal Knights
  • ClusterTruck
  • Sacred Citadel
  • Late Shift

As with any title in the program, you can play the full version of these games starting April 1st, with the exception of Robocraft Infinity which launches on April 11th, as well as save on purchasing the game and/or any applicable DLC.

Robocraft Infinity

NOTE: Robocraft Infinity will hit the Xbox Game Pass on the day of release, April 11th.

In Robocraft Infinity you are free to create, confront and destroy robots in Battle Arena or Team Deathmatch mode. Beat up on AI to polish your skills and then take on other players, leveraging a healthy mix of jet cars, tanks, flying warships, helicopters, drones, dinosaurs, scorpions to find victory – your options to build are virtually endless and no two battles are ever the same. But your robot alone won’t lead you to victory – it takes close-knit team play and quick reflexes to succeed in the arena.

With over 250 build components at launch and more set to be added for free in the future, Robocraft Infinity will continue to evolve right alongside your skills and tales from battle. What’s more, Robocraft Infinity is Xbox One X Enhanced, with superior 60fps framerate and stunning 4K visuals. We can’t wait for you to enjoy Robocraft Infinity on April 11.

Cities: Skyline

Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition puts you in charge of a growing city – from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Design, build, and manage the city of your dreams, from public services to civic policies, and challenge yourself to grow from a simple town to a bustling metropolitan hub. Cities: Skylines is an award-winning, best-selling management game, now available for the Xbox One with all of its robust city-simulation gameplay and unique charm along for the ride. The Xbox One Edition includes the base game and the popular After Dark expansion, allowing players to plan and design for their cities’ nightlife and tourist attractions.

Main Features: Build the city of your dreams: Plan road networks, bus lines and parks. Bring on a smog-filled industrial revolution or create a quiet beach town ideal for tourists powered by renewable energy. Bring education, healthcare and safety to your citizens. Build it your way!

Multi-tiered and challenging simulation: Playing as the mayor of your city, you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, firefighting, healthcare and much more, along with your city’s economy. Citizens within your city react fluidly, keeping you on your toes with ever-evolving demands.

Extensive local traffic simulation: Managing traffic and the needs of your citizens to work and play will require the use of several interactive transport systems – use careful road planning alongside buses, trains, subways, and much more.

Districts and policies: Be more than just another city hall official! Create a car-free downtown area, assign free public transport to your waterfront, or ban pets in suburbia. Designate parts of your city as a district in order to set policy at the local level, and give different parts of town their own personalities.

After Dark included: Watch your city become an entirely different place at night: a day-night cycle will have your citizens seeking out places to unwind after work. Add in new policies and zones to create popular hotspots and provide enough taxis and trains to get to and from the clubs!

theHunter: Call of the Wild

theHunter: Call of the Wild offers the most immersive hunting experience ever created. Step into a beautiful open world teeming with life, from majestic deer and awe-inspiring bison, down to the countless birds, critters and insects of the wilderness. Every inch of the 50-square mile world is crafted using Apex, award-winning technology crafted by Avalanche Studios during a decade of developing explosive action games. In addition to its rich single player experience, theHunter: Call of the Wild offers unique multiplayer options – cooperative and competitive – for up to 8 players. Share the ultimate hunting experience, and earn those bragging rights!

Kingdom: New Lands

Tales spread of far off isles with mysteries waiting to be discovered. Rulers will need all the strength of their subjects to sail away and find new kingdoms in these New Lands. Kingdom: New Lands builds upon the award-winning gameplay and mystery of Kingdom by introducing an abundance of new content to the IGF-nominated title while maintaining the simplicity and depth that legions of monarchs have come to experience and enjoy. Travel to the New Lands and welcome the deluge of new mounts, merchants, and vagrants that call these isles home, but be wary of the new obstacles that threaten your arrival — for not just the greedy creatures block your way but even the environment itself can defeat you. Be brave, ruler, and fight to the bitter end, lest these New Lands conquer you instead.

Portal Knights

Leave the familiar world behind and step into the fantastic unknown with Portal Knights, a cooperative 3D sandbox action-RPG! Level up your character and craft powerful gear to defeat your enemies in real-time tactical combat. Explore dozens of randomly-generated islands and restore peace to a world torn apart by The Fracture.

  • Travel between randomly generated 3D sandbox worlds
  • Tactical action combat
  • RPG character classes to choose from and master
  • Epic boss battles
  • Random Events
  • Mine and gather resources from across the lands to craft your arsenal and supplies
  • Build your home with dozens of materials and furnishings
  • Join your friends in 4-person cooperative multiplayer. Work together on the same island to build structures, explore dungeons, and overcome the toughest perils.

ClusterTruck

ClusterTruck is a new kind of platformer on-top of a speeding highway!

Use agility and acrobatics through insane levels in a game of “the floor is lava” on top of unpredictable, speeding trucks!

The game only gets harder when dangers such as swinging hammers, lasers and flamethrowers are added!

Unlock new abilities like the Grappling Hook, Truck Cannon and Time-Control!

Sacred Citadel

The once peaceful land of Ancaria is in grave danger. The evil Ashen empire has enslaved its population and is using the orc-like Grimmoc to wipe out the Seraphim, who swore to protect it. In order to defeat the empire you will have to prove yourself as a warrior by riding terrifying mounts, acquiring earth shattering skills and looting powerful weapons and valuable treasures. Grab your friends and join the resistance!

Late Shift

Late Shift is a high stakes FMV crime thriller. After being forced into the robbery of a lucrative auction house, mathematics student Matt is left proving his innocence in the brutal London heist. Your choices will have consequences from the very start, right through to the very end. One small decision could change the entire outcome in a choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay that can lead to one of seven conclusions.

Written by the author of Sherlock Holmes (2009 film), experience a gripping live-action crime thriller with a total of over 180 decision points. Do you steal the car or do you run away? Do you follow orders or sabotage the plan? You’ll have just seconds to decide as the film continues to roll with no pauses and no looping footage.

Shot in full HD, Late Shift’s cinematic experience blends the line between movies, games and interactive storytelling.

Of course, these are just the base games that are being offered up but if you like it enough you can score 20% off the base game and 10% off DLC while the game is part of the Xbox Game Pass. Stay tuned and we’ll have the list of what’s leaving in April here shortly!
