Dell announces new consumer PCs including refreshed Inspiron AIOs and new S-series monitors

In conjunction with their gaming announcements, Dell has announced a number of new consumer PCs, starting off with an all-new Inspiron All-in-One family joined by an updated XPS 15, a special edition Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1, a new color for the XPS 15 2-in-1 and six new S Series displays.

Before we get into specifics, Dell has provided an overview of the new and updated products:

• New XPS 15 delivers powerful performance with up to 6-core 8thGen Intel® Core™ processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics
• New XPS 15 2-in-1 now available for purchase and new brushed onyx color option available in May 2018
• New Inspiron All-In-One family offers value pricing with premium options like an InfinityEdge 4K display, 8thGen Intel® Core™ processors and Dell Cinema for seamless content viewing
• New Special Edition version of Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 in abyss black color with premium features now available
• Six new monitors join Dell’s S family, enhancing the workspace for work and play with rich multimedia features

The new systems showcase Dell Cinema, which includes CinemaColor for enhanced detail, CinemaSound powered by Waves MaxxAudio Pro, and CinemaStream powered by Killer and SmartByte.

Inspiron AIO Series

All-in-one computers are useful for many users, providing a one unit approach to computing with an integrated monitor, hard drive, video card, and all the other necessary computing components. The new Inspiron AIO Series boast an improved design with different performance levels to suit various needs. On top of the improved design, each AIO includes Dell Cinema, Dell Mobile Connect, and pop-up webcams that stay tucked away until required.

At the affordable level, the Inspiron 22 and 24 3000 AIOs offer 21.5-inch and 23.8-inch FHD AIOs with up to 7th Gen Intel Core processors, up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, and optional NVIDIA GeForce MX110 discrete graphics. The edge-to-edge display allows for wide-viewing angles and includes built-in stereo speakers with CinemaSound, keyboard, mouse, and CinemaStream. The Inspiron 3000 AIOs are available in glossy black and white. Features of the Inspiron 22 and 24 3000 AIOs include:

• CinemaStream with SmartByte Connection Optimizer software delivers a smoother content streaming and video chatting experience by prioritizing the video streaming traffic over other network connections
• Generously sized 21.5”/23.8” FHD (1920×1080) IPS display with narrow bezel, and touch and non-touch options delivers a visual experience that’s shareable and viewable from any angle.
• Pop-up webcam stays off until you want it. Ensures privacy and no accidental embarrassing video calls.

• CinemaSound with Waves MaxxAudio® Pro improves the audio experience by professionally tuning the devices speakers and processing and improving microphone audio
• Optional NVIDIA® GeForce ® MX110 graphics card with GDDR5 performance for light gaming or graphics-intensive apps (Intel only).
• Available with up to 7th Generation Intel Processors or 7th Generation AMD processors. Perfect for everyday tasks.
• Up to 16GB DDR4 memory keeps the system snappy with multiple applications open at once and helps reduce the need for buffering time while streaming video
• Dell Mobile Connect software allows for full PC-smartphone wireless integration

Next up, the Inspiron 24 5000 AIO offers up to Intel 8thGen Core processors, optional NVIDIA® GTX 1050 gaming quality graphics, up to 32GB DDR4 memory, and Intel Optane Memory with a 23.8-inch FHD display. Features of the Inspiron 24 5000 AIO include:

• CinemaStream (SmartByte Connection Optimizer Solution) delivers a smoother content streaming experience by prioritizing the video streaming traffic over other network connections

Finally, the Inspiron 27 7000 AIO offers the best performance and resolution with its 27-inch InfinityEdge display available in up to 4K UHD resolution with HDR support. The 7000 AIO graphics are also powered by an optional NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics card and can be configured with up to 1TB HDD and 256GB PCIe NVMe SSDs for better performance. The Inspiron 27 7000 AIO features include:

Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1

The Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 is also getting an updated with Dell’s new Abyss black finish, Dell Cinema, Intel Core i7 processors, premium 4K UHD touch screen, higher capacity SSDs, 16GB of DDR4 memory, NVIDIA MX130 discrete graphics, and Dell Active Pen support.

Features of the Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 include:

XPS 15

The flagship XPS 15 by Dell is being upgraded to the latest 6-core 8th Generation Intel Core processors and will be available with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics. The Ultrasharp 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge touch display boasts 100% Adobe RGB color, and the XPS 15 remains the smallest 15.6-inch performance laptop and one of the lightest at just 4lbs. The XPS 15 supports Windows Hello for easier logins, has an optional fingerprint reader integrated power button, and comes equipped with Thunderbolt 3, and HDMI 2.0.

XPS 15 2-in-1

Unveiled at CES 2018, the XPS 15 2-in-1 is finally available to purchase. Only 16mm thin, the 2-in-1 also has an InfinityEdge 4K display and Dell is announcing a new color option: brushed onyx.

Dell’s S Series monitors are also getting an upgrade with 23, 24, and 27-inch FHD (1920×1080) variations.
