With advances in 4K projector technology, the price of 4K projectors has been steadily following and ViewSonic is the latest to launch a 4K projector under the $1,500USD mark. Even better, the ViewSonic PX747-4K DLP projector boasts a high 3500-lumen brightness, making it perfect for almost any setting.
“With the PX747-4K, ViewSonic is offering a variety of 4K solutions to a wider range of consumers,” said Sean Liu, product marketing manager for ViewSonic Americas. “With the new PX747-4K projector, we focused on high brightness at the UHD resolution, which will allow consumers to view everything from daytime sports to nighttime movies in just about any room, no matter how much ambient light is available. Our 4K projectors are targeted to provide an immersive, large-screen viewing experience at a consumer-ready price point.”
The PX474-4K uses the latest Texas Instruments XPR 4K UHD chipset to provide the necessary 8.3-million pixels for super sharp, HDR compatible, SuperColor images on screens as big as 300-inches. In addition to the high brightness, the projector also has a dynamic contrast ratio of 12,000:1, a 10-bit RGB color depth for 1.07 billion colours, a throw ratio of 1.47 – 1.76, and a throw distance of 3.2 to 38.4 feet.
The standard ports are available as well with HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 (with HDCP 2.2) connections, USB 2.0, 3.5mm Audio In and Audio Out, RS232, VGA, and Mini-USB. The PX747-4K also features 10W internal speakers and comes with a 3-year limited warranty.
The ViewSonic PX747-4K projector will be available in May at an MSRP of $1,499 USD.
