Overwatch could make it’s way to the Nintendo Switch

We already know that Diablo III is coming out for the Nintendo Switch and fans are happy that Blizzard made this possible, and now the company has indicated that it’s feasible for Overwatch to run on the Switch as well.

GameSpot was able to talk to the senior producer of Blizzard, Pete Stilwell, about Diablo III working on the Switch and asked how he felt about Overwatch being playable on the system as well. This was his response.

“Anything is within the realm of possibility,” he said. “Our team was given the task to work on this. If [Overwatch developer] Team 4 picks up that endeavour, that’s on them. As of right now Diablo is our only focus on Switch.” Asked if he thinks Overwatch could run on Switch, Stilwell said, “Yes, it is feasible.

Granted, this is still up to the Overwatch team if they want to make this happen, but Blizzard was able to get Diablo III ported over to the Switch in nine months. Still, the way Stilwell was talking made it seem like the developers could make this happen, but we’ll find out sooner or later when or if the game will be for sale.

Personally, I think the Switch getting Overwatch is good, but at the same time, the game has been out for so long, not everyone may not be into getting a game they already have for another console. Plus, looking at the game already being playable on three different platforms, it could be more challenging adding on another platform and making sure all patches for the game are correct for each console the game is on.

So, what do you guys think about Diablo III and potentially Overwatch being ported over to the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
