Marvel’s Daredevil third season is just about upon us for Netflix and Netflix Canada subscribers and the streaming company has just released the official Season 3 trailer. The official synopsis and previous teaser trailers — one of which focused on Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin — portrays Matt Murdock/Daredevil as a very troubled and broken individual.

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world, or embracing his destiny as a hero.

The official trailer for the upcoming season introduces yet another villain for Daredevil to face off against. Check it out below:

As you can see, the main story revolves around Fisk’s vendetta against Daredevil. Fisk works at setting Daredevil up as the actual villain but as the trailer ends we see Daredevil and Matt Murdock in the same scene. For comic lovers, this can only be one individual: Bullseye. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bullseye, he is a psychopathic assassin for hire who eventually comes to work for Fisk. As should be obvious in the trailer, he impersonates Daredevil and commits crimes in his name in order to set him up. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how this all plays out, given the long history between Daredevil and Bullseye in the comics.

The third season of Marvel’s Daredevil debuts exclusively on Netflix October 19th.
