Celebrate your year of gaming with Xbox Year in Review

It’s that time of the year again when Xbox releases an Xbox Year in Review for it’s gamers. By visiting the Xbox Year in Review website, gamers can get all sorts of cool stats about the past year (in actuality the first 10 months of the year) and, in the case of this year, a weird snow globe-ish type virtual trophy.

This is our favorite time of year when we can all come together and celebrate community shenanigans. We marvel at how one million of you managed to reach the top 10 in a battle royale without panning anyone, just as much as we relish the 3 million of you that forgot that stealth means survival when you’re battling zombies.

Once you hit the site, you’ll start off with some basic stats like where you sit amongst all gamers according to your Gamerscore, hours played, and achievements earned. Next, you’ll be shown your mood and given your first virtual item to collect. Next up is your favourite game and then you’ll be given a number of choices for various questions related to your gaming over the past year. Each choice, of course, gives you a new item to collect.

Once you’ve gone thorough a few more choices and gaming stats, you’ll be presented with a very interesting looking trophy with items that really don’t have much to do with your stats or choices (at least as far as I can tell). Finally, you can star three of your favourite stats and then share your stats and trophies with others. Here’s mine, if you care!

…and here’s my Xbox Year in Review… “trophy?”

As mentioned above, this isn’t a full 12-month snapshot, but rather the first ten months of the year. Honestly, I’d rather be able to wait until mid-January to see your complete stats and give late season games like Forza Horizon 4 or Red Dead Redemption 2 their fair shake in hours played and the like.

At any rate, it’s still a fun little snapshot of your Xbox gaming over the past year. How did your Xbox Year in Review “trophy” turn out? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
