Earlier today, we posted our Top Ten popular posts of the past year based on views. Now we’re taking a look at our Top Ten reviews of 2018, again, based on views which means they’re the ones you, our readers, read the most.

Interestingly enough, but not really a surprise, smartwatches took three of the ten spots. What was interesting though, was they are all from the same parent company: Fossil, and two of them are hybrids. The rest of the list is rounded out with speakers, earbuds, a laptop, a monitor, and the top spot just might surprise you!

Take a look below, in order from tenth to first, and thanks again for your support over the past five years!

#10. Hagen Connected Hybrid Smartwatch

hagen-connected-hybrid-smartwatch-review

Number 10 on the list is the first hybrid smartwatch review. If you’re not a fan of the full smartwatch option and want something a little more traditional with very basic smartwatch functions, the Skagen Hagen Connected Hybrid Smartwatch should definitely be on your consideration list. While it’s a little light on the smartwatch functions, it’s not unthinkable that they’ll get better with future firmware and software updates. Read the full review.

#9. Motorola MG7550

motorola-mg7550-gateway-review-fi

The Motorola MG7550 Gateway is a solid contender that performs admirably. It is certified to work with most popular ISPs and should handle your internet plan with ease. Add to that a compact package, and of course some of the best wireless speed for a gateway, and you’ve got a winner. Read the full review.

#8. Dell Inspiron 13 7373

Dell Inspiron 13 7373

The Dell Inspiron 13 7373 is the only laptop to make our top ten list, according to views. The Dell Inspiron 13 7373 is an amazing 13″ laptop that most regular consumers will be happy with. It’s a bit heavy for a 13″ but not enough to not be portable. It has some included software that is annoying but you can uninstall that. It has an amazing build, amazing screen, great keyboard… this is one to consider and put on your short list. Read the full review.

#7. 360 Earbuds

360 Earbuds

A Top Pick here at Techaeris, this Kickstarter is the only headset to make our top ten this year. If the units that ship are as good as the review unit Alex received, then backing this Kickstarter is a no-brainer. The sound that the 360 Earbuds reproduces is better than any other earbud or earphone to which he’s listened. They are comfortable enough to be worn for long periods of time and because they are wired, you don’t have to worry about battery life. It’s because of all this that the 360 Earbuds have earned a Techaeris Top Pick Award for 2017. Read the full review.

#6. JBL Boombox

JBL Boombox EC

This year, we fired up the Editor’s Choice program. These are the cream of the crop, the best of the best and the JBL Boombox is more than deserving. The JBL Boombox definitely puts the boom back in boombox with its big sound and easily earns a Top Pick of 2018 and Editor’s Choice Award here at Techaeris. Sure, it’s large — and a bit on the pricey side — but if you’re after loud, bass-booming, all-day and night party sound, the JBL Boombox easily fits the bill! Read the full review.

#5. JBL SoundBoost 2

JBL-SoundBoost-2-review

While Motorola hasn’t been able to get as much traction from their Moto Mods as I’m sure they like, there’s still obviously interest in their Moto Mods. Like the JBL SoundBoost Speaker, the JBL SoundBoost 2 definitely adds louder and better quality stereo sound to your Moto Z family smartphone and eliminates the need to carry around a separate, bulkier Bluetooth speaker.

However, like the Moto Z2 Play, in its current configuration, it’s only a marginal upgrade in the looks department, but that could well change once the Immersive Sound feature is added in the future. Once that is live and rolled out, we’ll definitely be revisiting this review with an update. For owners of the original JBL SoundBoost Speaker Moto Mod, it’d be nice to see the app support extend to that one as well. Read the full review.

#4. Dell S2719H

DellMonitorEC18

The second Dell product and only monitor on the list, the Dell S2719H was also an Editor’s Choice this past year. There were some things Alex could do without or would have like to have seen included like the black glossy back, lack of VESA mount, and lack of adjustability. The latter two just seem to be a thing most monitor makers are doing so it’s not strictly a Dell thing. Still, at its sale price, this is a decent buy. Dell also offers these monitors in a 23″ and 24″ version. Read the full review.

#3. SKAGEN Connected

Skagen-Connected-review

Again, another hybrid smartwatch review from SKAGEN (who’s parent company is Fossil). The Jorn Connected and Hald Connected are equally decent additions to SKAGEN’s Connected Hybrid Smartwatch collection alongside the Hagen Connected. If you’re looking for a traditional watch with a few basic smartwatch features like basic notifications and fitness tracking, the SKAGEN Connected Collection is worth looking at. #2. Fossil Q Explorist

Fossil Q Explorist

As crazy as it may be, this really was Justin’s first experience with an Android Wear smartwatch. The Fossil Q Explorist 3rd Gen really was a great way to break into the smartwatch scene though. It’s a solidly constructed smartwatch with great looks, and Android Wear 2.0. After a long stretch off leaving watches off of his wrist, it’s gotten to the point of feeling odd when Justin is not wearing the Fossil Q Explorist. Read the full review.

#1. EGO 56V Lithium-Ion Mower

EGO 56V Lithium-Ion

Are you surprised to see a lawnmower head up our top ten popular reviews read this year? This is easily the best walk-behind self-propelled mower Alex has ever used in this price range and he was thoroughly impressed by its performance and ability to complete my 1/3 acre lawn with ease. Alex highly recommends this mower to those looking for a cordless electric mower or for those who want a more environmentally friendly mower. Read the full review.
