Our CES 2019 coverage keeps chugging along and not everything we cover is a TV or smartphone. Home appliances? Yes indeed! We cover home appliances too! Especially these new Samsung home appliances that have a whole bunch of technology integrated into them. Including Family Hub and AI capability.

Samsung says they are the #1 selling appliance brand in the United States and the fastest growing brand in the last nine years. Samsung’s goal is to make home appliances work for families and for families to work less. Samsung’s home appliances are made with beauty, design, performance, and connectivity in mind. The company has just introduced its new Family Hub refrigerator and Samsung WF6300R washer.

AI integration is transforming the Family Hub to be even more intelligent and intuitive so families can share information and memories in more natural, personal ways. In three short years, it’s advanced from being an app-based experience anchored in the basics of life; to more connected apps that could talk to each other; to a wider reach with expansion to the rest of the smart home. This year, Family Hub is evolving from a kitchen tool to an intelligent home assistant. The Personalized Family Board allows users to create a customized space reflecting their activities, interests and moments. The new Communal Screen serves each family member in a highly personal way with a home screen that has been redesigned to maximize aesthetics, functionality, and connectivity. An enhanced Bixby allows family members to do even more in fewer steps by elevating simple voice commands to be more interactive and conversational.

With Wi-Fi connectivity and smart features plus new washing technology, Samsung’s new WF6300R Front Load Washer takes the guesswork out of laundry and delivers a more powerful wash. A taller drum and a shorter depth (compared to previous models) make it easier to reach clothes in the washer without sacrificing capacity. With Laundry Recipe, the app provides a recommended cycle depending on the specific items, item colors, and level of dirt. Laundry Planner allows you to select wash cycles and finish time-based on your schedule. All of this can be done right from the SmartThings app on the mobile phone.

There you have the new Family Hub fridge and WF6300R washer in the home appliance category. What do you think of Samsung’s new home appliance offerings? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook. You can also comment on our MeWe page by joining the MeWe social network.
