Lenovo Legion & IdeaPad gaming laptops get 9th Gen Intel Core CPUs and GTX 1650/1660 Ti GPUs

Hot on the heels of Intel’s 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processor announcement, Lenovo has announced they’ve updated their Lenovo Legion lineup. In addition, two new gaming laptops have been added to the family: the Lenovo Legion Y7000 and the IdeaPad L340 Gaming.

Lenovo Legion Y740

Up first, the Lenovo Legion Y740 with its optional 144Hz 1080p FHD display and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q graphics sees the new CPU and GPU options. Now available with the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, the Y740 15- and 17-inch models can also be configured with the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti video card.

The 17-inch Lenovo Legion Y740 Laptop will start at US$1669.99 and the 15-inch model will start at $1609.99, available on www.lenovo.com and in select local retailers in late May 2019.

New Lenovo Legion Y7000

In addition to refreshing the Lenovo Legion Y7000p, the new Y7000 gaming laptop is a 15-inch gaming powerhouse. With up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, and GTX 1660 Ti or 1650 options, there’s a configuration for everyone.

The Legion Y7000 features thin bezels, up to 144Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of brightness, and an IPS anti-glare screen.

The 15-inch Lenovo Legion Y7000p (also known as the Lenovo Legion Y545 in select markets) with optional NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti will be available on www.lenovo.com and in select local retailers starting at $1199.99 in late May 2019. Pricing and availability of the 15-inch Lenovo Legion Y7000 with optional NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti will be shared later.

Available in both 15-inch and 17-inch, with up to a GeForce RTX 2060 GPU and 9th Gen Intel i7 processor, the Lenovo Legion Y540 packs a hefty amount of power at a more accessible price point. Both models come in Raven Black, lasting up to six hours to provide plenty of time to find that save point while on-the-go.

The Y540 also comes with Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Weighing just over 5lbs, this gaming laptop is easily portable for gaming on the go.

The 15-inch Lenovo Legion Y540 Laptop with up to NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti starts at $1209.99 and is available in late May 2019, and the 17-inch with the same GPU option starts at $1269.99 and is available late June 2019 on www.lenovo.com and in select local retailers.

Lenovo IdeaPad L340

New to the Lenovo gaming laptop family is the affordable Lenovo IdeaPad L340. Designed for multi-tasking, the L340 allows users to game in “Quick” mode or work in “Quiet” mode. With 15- and 17-inch models to choose from, the L340 can be configured with up to 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and feature GeForce GTX 1650 GPUs.

For even more gaming and content creation power, Intel Optane options are also available for the latest addition to the Lenovo gaming lineup.

The 17-inch Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming laptop will start at $919.99 and the 15-inch model will start at $869.99, both available on www.lenovo.com and in select local retailers in late May 2019.
