When Olympus Has Fallen came out back in 2013 I personally thought it was a fantastic action movie. Sure, it probably had a lot of action cliches but some times I just want a simple action movie and nothing more. That’s what the film gave me as did the follow-up London Has Fallen. Now, Angel Has Fallen is getting ready to release and it looks like another fun action flick.
The cast includes Hollywood great Morgan Freeman as well as Jada Pinket Smith and a personal favorite Gerard Butler. The main cast consists of:

In Angel Has Fallen there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the President. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.

Sure, it may look like just another carbon copy action movie but if they’re done right, they can be some of the best movies out there. Personally, I think this looks like a fun film and am looking forward to checking it out.
