Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox

Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox finally took the stage for the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing. The focus this year, as has been the trend over the past couple years, is definitely focused on gaming.

Spencer mentions that due to the expanding nature of gamers and games, in under two decades, the number of gamers has tripled to over 2 billion gamers worldwide. With new technological leaps, we are getting closer to being able to play whenever we want, wherever we want, and with whoever we want.

The Xbox team is dedicated to bringing games to everyone where, when, and with who they want so you can play with your friends wherever you are. This was one of the driving forces behind pushing crossplay. It’s all about the games and Spencer said this will be the biggest highlight of games on stage this year. With 60 games, 14 from Xbox Game Studios, with 34 games debuting on Xbox Game Pass. Spencer also mentioned more details on the next Xbox would be coming later in the briefing…
