[E3 2019] World’s first 1ms IPS gaming monitor announced by LG

While E3 2019 is over, we’re still catching up on some of the news. Last week, LG announced the LG UltraGear Nano IPS gaming monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC support and an impressive 1ms response time.

For those not familiar with response rate, it is the measured time it takes a pixel on a display screen to change. When it comes to gaming, lower response time is desired as it produces less visual artifacts. Using Nano IPS technology, LG’s latest gaming monitors feature”phenomenal colour reproduction, ultra-fast response time, and a refresh rate of 144Hz” for more immersive gaming.

Available in two sizes — 27- and 38-inch — the monitors are also HDR compatible. The smaller supports HDR10 while the larger is VESA DisplayHDR 400 and NVIDIA certified. Coupled with low response time and high refresh rate (overclockable to 175Hz on the 38-inch model), the monitors also feature Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabilizer, and Crosshair modes to further assist gamers in FPS and other games.
