Xbox certainly had some big news on the Xbox Game Pass front at E3 2019 last week. Not only did they announce Xbox Game Pass for PC, but they also announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — which you can try out for only $1. Not only that, doing so also upgrades any remaining months of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for Console to the new fully loaded Ultimate subscription. If you haven’t done so yet, you can click the banner below to do so or check out our article on how to maximize your upgrade. Hint: max out your Xbox Live Gold for 36 months and then upgrade for the biggest savings.

If the $1 upgrade deal isn’t enough to entice you, Xbox also announced that with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, members will get access to Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, including all the benefits like the Ultimate Edition Character Pack, 30 Days of Boost, early access to play four days earlier than everyone else, and all Xbox Game Pass members have a hall pass to be the first to play Gears 5 via the tech test in July. Play the entire Gears of War anthology with Xbox Game Pass so you’re on top of your game when the time comes.

Xbox Game Pass June additions

With a week and a half left in the month, the Xbox Game Pass June additions include:

  • Rare Replay (June 20)
  • Resident Evil: Revelations (June 20)
  • Goat Simulator (June 27)
  • Torment: Tides of Numenera (June 27)

Rare Replay

Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Rare brings together the adventures of its iconic characters in a collection that spans the decades. From its earliest 2D classics to Xbox 360 triumphs, Rare Replay delivers a gaming treasure trove for veteran players and newcomers alike.

As you brawl with the Battletoads, grab Jiggies in Banjo-Kazooie and fight the future in Perfect Dark, you’ll uncover bonus content and exclusive looks at the creation of Rare Replay‘s hits. Master the basics or test your skills with all-new snapshot challenges and 10,000 Gamerscore. Gaming’s greatest are back, lovingly presented and exclusively on Xbox One!

After purchase, the Xbox 360 titles within Rare Replay will also be added to your download queue. Installation space for all titles will require a further 38GB. If you cancel the installation of a title, you can reinstall at any time by locating the title in the “Ready to Install” section of My Games & app or within the Xbox Store.

Note: Content in Rare Replay ranges from ‘E for Everyone’ to ‘M for Mature’. Mature content will be gated based on account restrictions.

Resident Evil: Revelations

Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Experience the survival horror sensation on Xbox One in full HD 1080p with all previous DLC included and new features.

The story is set at a time before the Kijuju and Lanshiang bioterror incidents when the BSAA was still a young organization. Join Jill Valentine aboard a ghost ship in the Mediterranean Sea searching for her old partner, Chris Redfield. Learn the hidden truth behind the destruction of a floating city. Or play in Raid Mode for a co-op killing-spree with friends over the Internet.

Goat Simulator

Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU. You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true!

Gameplay-wise, Goat Simulator is all about causing as much destruction as you possibly can as a goat. It has been compared to an old-school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you’re a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff. Destroy things with style, such as doing a backflip while headbutting a bucket through a window, and you’ll earn even more points! When it comes to goats, not even the sky is the limit, as you can probably just bug through it and crash the game.

Disclaimer: Goat Simulator is a completely stupid game and, to be honest, you should probably spend your money on something else, such as a hula hoop, a pile of bricks, or maybe pool your money together with your friends and buy a real goat.

Torment: Tides of Numenara

Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

This one is a bit interesting because currently, it is only listed on the Microsoft site as being available for Xbox One — yet Xbox indicates it’s coming to Game Pass for PC and not console. We’ll double check on the 27th and confirm either way!

Explore Earth one billion years in the future in the science-fantasy setting of Numenera. Discover the Ninth World built on the bones of extinct, hyper-advanced civilizations and leave your own mark on it. Make thousands of essential choices, face the consequences, and meet death incarnated as you seek the answer to the ultimate question: What does one life matter?

Torment: Tides of Numenera is a thematic successor to one of the greatest RPGs ever created. The new game explores similar deep and personal themes of life, mortality, and sacrifice, challenging players to take intellectual stances and make moral decisions.
