Last weekend, Xbox Game Pass subscribers got to take part in the Gears 5 Tech Test. This weekend, July 26 through July 29th, anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription can take part.
To prepare for the Tech Test, head on over to the Microsoft Store and search for “Gears 5 Tech Test” and download it. Once downloaded, you’ll have to wait until 10 a.m. PT today to play it, but at least you’ll be ready to jump into the multiplayer fray once it launches.
The first time you do play, however, you will be enlisted in the Boot Camp training mode after which time you’ll be able to partake in the new Arcade multiplayer mode coming to Gears 5. If you played last week, you can continue to complete challenges for your rewards. Speaking of, if you play one match between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. PT on July 26th (today), you’ll snag the Wreath Bloodspray reward.
In addition to Arcade mode, gamers will also be able to check out King of the Hill and the updated Escalation competitive game type. The tech test starts today at 10 a.m. PT and ends at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, July 29th.
