All the hype surrounding the launch of Disney+ is finally over as the new streaming service has launched today. With that, you might be wondering when your Samsung Smart TVs will be seeing the service, well, today. Samsung has announced the availability of Disney+ on its 2016- 2019 Samsung Smart TVs.

Currently, only TVs from as early as 2016 will be able to stream the new service, no word on if it will come to even earlier TVs. There’s little else to say about Disney+ as a service as we (and countless others) have covered the new streaming service in depth. The biggest news is that you’ll have access to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content which is a huge deal. Here’s what Samsung had to say about the launch of Disney+ on their Samsung Smart TVs.

Disney’ s streaming service has been long anticipated and is offering up a lot of great content.

Starting today, Samsung Smart TVs in the US will be able to enjoy unprecedented access to Disney’s extensive library of films, television series and a huge variety of original feature films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted series, and short-form content, via Disney+, Disney’s dedicated streaming home for entertainment.

Now, the entire family can experience all the beloved, classic and highly-anticipated Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic content and more, right from the comfort of your own home – ad-free and with the premium ultra-high definition picture quality and sound on 2016 – 2019 Smart TV models.

2019 Samsung Smart TVs offer even more ways than ever for users to discover and watch their favorite content. The Universal Guide provides a unified browsing experience across all sources and offers customized recommendations about what to watch. Additionally, users will be able to leverage the Bixby feature on 2019 QLED TVs to easily control their TVs and access their content through voice commands.

As the global leader in TV for the past 13 years, Samsung has been at the forefront of offering the broadest selection of content options available to consumers on our Smart TV platform. Additionally, Samsung Smart TVs also offer Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free ad-supported Smart TV video service, delivering free TV, no strings attached with instant access to news, sports, entertainment, and more.
