There are the Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards, and of course, The Game Awards. Founded back in 2014, the latter “recognizes and upholds creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry,” and has announced this year’s nominees.

While the winners are chosen by a voting jury of over 100 media and influencer outlets, anyone can go and vote and, at a later date, participate in the Players’ Voice bracket to pick the public’s favourite game of the year.
