Xbox Live Gold No Longer Required For Netflix, Hulu?
Ars Technica is reporting that multiple sources at Microsoft have been told of a plan to make a few adjustments to the Xbox Live Gold streaming video offerings. Most notably, popular video streaming services Netflix and Hulu may no longer require Xbox Live Gold access. Up until now, Xbox users would need to pay for an Xbox Live Gold account – in addition to paying for Netflix or Hulu subscriptions – just to stream these services from the Xbox.
The War Is Approaching: ComiXology, Amazon, Apple, and Payments
Last week ComiXology, a digital comic books distribution platform, made some changes in the way they do business. They uploaded a new app to the Apple App Store to replace the app that they have had up for some time. The changes that were made were not minimal. They stripped out the in app purchase (IAP) system that they had been using and put in a cloud syncing option so that users could log in to the Comixology.com website to make purchases and then sync them to the app. Unsurprisingly, some people were upset.

Sony Pictures Acquires Blu-Ray And DVD Rights To Angry Birds Toons
Sony Pictures Angry Birds movie is due out sometime in July 2016 in the meantime they have secured world wide Blu-ray and DVD rights to Rovio’s Angry Birds Toons series. The series has a total of 52 episodes and centers around the story created by Rovio in their Angry Birds mobile game.
