Kia Quoris Slated For 2014 U.S. Release

|

Looks like Kia is going to make a run at the luxury market by introducing the Kia Quoris in 2014. The Quoris has only been available in Korea and the Middle East where it goes by the name K9. The exact specifications of the Quoris have not been released but it is aiming for the luxury slot so we would expect it to have quiet a few high end features.  What we do know is that the engine is likely to be the 285 horsepower 3.8-liter V-6 that the K9 currently has. It will also come with a variety of “driving modes” like eco and snow modes. One of the cooler features is the adaptive front lights, this is where the lights move according to the steering angle of the vehicle. The Quoris will also have four cameras to help with features such as adaptive cruise control and will assist the driver in blind spot visuals and parking. Pricing has not been announced availability is expected in the third quarter of 2014.

Kia has really stepped up in design over the past few years, both the Optima and Cadenza are very handsome cars. Quality is evident in Kia’s newest car lineup so we are not expecting anything different from the Quoris. The question remains, what is the price going to be of the Quoris and when they call it luxury that means BMW, Audi and Lexus they’ll be competing with. Can Kia bring it?
