YERKA: The Bike That Can’t Be Stolen

|

Indiegogo and Kickstarter are great places to try and get your great ideas funded and perhaps make it big time. We cover Indiegogo’s and Kickstarters when we see something that catches our eye and feel you the reader might like too. This time YERKA, “The Unstealable Bike” grabbed our attention for its design and concept. With a $50,000 goal and 38 days left to collect, YERKA is already at $43, 279, so other people see the potential here as well.

YERKA’s concept is simple: I hate getting my bike stolen so why not make a lock out of the bike? If the thief decides to bring something to hack his way through the lock, the bike is rendered useless. A pretty nifty idea I say and at not a bad price point. The $399 tier is sold out but there is still the $429 tier left and the YERKA looks to be worth that much or more.

We went back to the roots of security and made a paradigm shift: “Make a lock out of the bike”. Now a thief would have to cut through the main structure to take the bicycle, defeating the purpose. Not only can you relax knowing your bike is secure, the quality and design of YERKA are unmatched.
